Karl is a 33-year-old author from Shropshire, England. He has been writing stories since high school but over the interceding years has designed his own unique universe (The Slormandalyvr Universe) which will be the backdrop for all his books and series. His debut novel Rise of the Ancient One has just been published via Amazon, and he is hard at work on his next project (working title: The Glass Sands of Ekkhe). He also has 2 books of a 6 book series in the works, though both of these are still in their early forms.

Karl is an avid fantasy fan, having fallen head first down the rabbit hole when he found a young hobbit named Frodo and followed him as he destroyed the One Ring. Since then, he has continued to be enthralled by the magic of fantasy, with its unique magic systems, fantastical races and creatures, unique worlds, interwoven plots, and epic battles. He hopes to bring all of these aspects to his own works. His biggest inspirations are Robert Jordan and his Wheel of Time series, as well as Brandon Sanderson and his Cosmere.

Away from the world of writing, Karl is a 3rd dan black-belt in Taekwondo and also spends a lot of his spare time on stage as a musical theatre actor. He is obsessed with the Assassin's Creed franchise and also plays a lot of Dungeons & Dragons - both of which help him build his own worlds.
